About Nurturing Mama Minds
We are Vicky + Beth, and we are honored that you are taking the time out of your busy lives to check out Nurturing Mama Minds. Vicky is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Beth is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and we are both trained perinatal mental health professionals.
We started Nurturing Mama Minds because we are passionate about empowering mamas and their families with knowledge, and bringing community to all things motherhood!
Vicky Rutsch, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
For the past 10+ years, I have been focusing on providing care
for clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, impulse control,
and life-transition difficulties through the use of
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical
Behavioral Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed interventions, and
a focus on compassionate care that revolves around the relationship
between therapist and client.
I am so excited to bring my background in CBT and Perinatal
Mood and Anxiety Disorders to this community, helping women
receive compassionate care in their reproductive journey.
Being a mother of two and a survivor of PMADs myself, I know
how hard it is to continue managing day-to-day operations without
a set of working coping skills, and how important it is to have
someone to support us in our attachment journey with our child.
You are not alone, and this is not your fault.
It truly takes a village to raise a child.

Beth Partain, Licensed Clinical Social Worker
I have been working with families, mamas, and children for the last 6+ years providing a holistic and trauma-informed therapy experience. I have training and experience in treating trauma, Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, Mood disorders, and adjustment to life changes. I am skilled in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing among other treatments. I like to incorporate meditation, yoga, and mindfulness into traditional therapeutic interventions to help you reach your mental wellness goals.
As a NICU mama and PMADs survivor, it is important to me to help fight the stigma of perinatal mental health concerns through awareness, education, and practical life applications.
I, too, mesh my real-life and therapeutic experiences with my training in Perinatal Mental Health to provide education and care to mamas on their journey to and through motherhood. I know how much of a difference having a community of mamas and empathetic advice can make in the outcome of PMADs.

Vicky and Beth met at an extensive two-day training in San Diego, CA. We both flew (Vicky from Northern California, Beth from Kentucky) to sunny San Diego to attend the Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorder training led by renowned speakers from Postpartum Support International. With matching passions for treating women in the transition to motherhood and beyond, we decided to create the Empowering Mama Minds Community.
From the Southeast to the Pacific, we’ve got your back mama!
